The Story of iKarny

Who is iKarny?

As a Young up-and-coming Black artist, my passion for fashion and design goes as far back as I can remember. My appreciation for style started At a very young age. 

I found that "kids" my age relied entirely on their parent's input to dress them or, better yet, had zero interest in the "Style," 

The excitement of layering "my gear" from head to toe and integrating patterns as they flowed down from my head to my shoes gave me life. 

I found that this carried into the upper-level school years. I recall vividly telling classmates that someday I would see this passion evolve into a brand. I dreamt that someday my designs could innate a similar flame for others. 

Some laughed, and others emerged in support. Determined to see my dream unfold, I displayed my first design one year after graduation. A Women's Two-piece set tribute was born, and although short-lived, it was an enormous start. It allowed me to dig deep and redefine what I thought represented determination, hard work, and perseverance. I then developed a mindset to embrace every aspect of the industry, both acceptance and rejection. I would push through and hold myself accountable for growth. Through that, my logo was born. "ikarny" is the pledge set forth not only to myself but to my brand. "ikarny" commit to providing the best of myself to the best of this fashion world.
